HDSL + HDSA FAQs
HDSL FAQs
The weather looks bad, is my game going to be rescheduled?
No. Games are only cancelled in advanced due to SEVERE weather (i.e. tornado warnings, heat warnings (as per HDSL policy), air quality (as per HDSL policy). Teams will receive an email by 4pm should games be cancelled.
Severe weather is forecasted in our area, what should I do?
Club admins should email the league with their concerns and opinion of the severity. Based on the information received, the league will make a final decision.
Our clubs home field is not playable, what should I do?
Have the club admin email hdsl@hdsasoccer.ca ASAP.
My game needs to be rescheduled (lack of players, missing coach etc.), what should I do?
Once schedules are finalized, games are only moved for weather related instances. However, should a team need to reschedule, and the opposing team is in agreement, the league may accommodate the request.
*All rescheduling requests and communication should be between club administrators, not team coaches.
I am having trouble submitting my game report to E2E, what should I do?
Email hdsl@hdsasoccer.ca and CC your club administrator within the 48 hour time frame.
The standings have not updated but I have done my game report, what should I do?
This likely means the opponent has not submitted a game report, once both teams complete their game reports the standings will update. HDSL will monitor game reporting on a bi-weekly basis. Should game reports not be submitted in a timely manner, the team will be subject to HDSL fees and fines and the league will update the standings.
A game has been reported incorrectly, what should I do?
Email hdsl@hdsasoccer.ca with a picture of the game sheet.
My player received a red card, are they suspended for my next game?
HDSL will communicate discipline findings and suspensions on a weekly basis with club administrators. Any suspensions will show up on E2E game sheets. Should coaches sit a player, it will not count towards the league issued suspension, if the findings have not already been shared. Coaches are encouraged to address poor player behaviour, as they see fit.
I had an issue with a referee and/or a referee decision, what should I do?
Game protest information can be found in HDSL rules and regulations. Timelines and fees must be met accordingly for game protests. If there is poor conduct from a match official, please share it with your club administrator.
HDSA FAQs
I have uploaded my players into SportsEngine, how do they get approved?
Approvals are done by the District Administrator. During the season approvals are completed multiple times a week. You do not need to send an email, unless you notice that players have been unapproved for over a week.
My players are showing as incomplete in SportsEngine, what should I do?
Incomplete players are often due to not having a membership assigned to the club. Although you may have purchased memberships during your roster upload, sometimes there are glitches in the system. Please try repurchasing the membership. If the issue persists, email hdsa@hdsasoccer.ca.
A player is showing as Denied, what should I do?
Denied players are often due to age verification not passing. Please double check the birth year on the player’s profile. If you have a player who has been approved to play down, please email hdsa@hdsasoccer.ca with the appropriate documentation and the denial can be reversed.
Do my players need digital identification?
Competitive, adult, and development teams travelling out of district for tournaments or festivals require player identification. Development teams in HDSL DO NOT require identification for league games. Instructions on obtaining digital identification can be found on our website: Digital Player Cards.
